WPN Young Professionals: Irina Negru

We are so honored to continue our newest endeavor for the Women’s Professional Network. At regular intervals, we will be sharing a blog post featuring our Young Professional WPN members. The purpose of the post is to share the importance of our organization in the growth and development of our young professional members, the women of tomorrow. We are pleased to feature Irina Negru in this post. Irina works in the SEO department at Interact Marketing. As the representation of women in technical services continues to grow, it is important to remember where we came from in the not-so-distant past and take a moment to appreciate all that the women who have come before us did to fight for equality. What is it you do for Interact Marketing?
Interact Marketing is a full-service digital marketing agency, providing Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Google Ad campaign management, Web Design & Social Media Marketing. I personally work in the SEO department at the company! I help our clients get found online, using onsite and offsite strategies, when people search for their products or services. I also interpret, extract and analyze data analytics into useful information for our clients. In addition to working in this department, I heavily network and represent the company throughout the Hudson Valley at various events and through different organizations.
What type of clients do you work with?
Many of our clients are in one of the following three verticals: medical, education and legal. However, we have managed campaigns for all types of companies including many of the As Seen on TV products and other consumer brands. We run campaigns for many home services companies throughout the Hudson Valley and have managed various campaigns for large national brands. In summary, we can work with just about anyone. To what do you attribute your success?
I attribute my success to failure but remaining resilient and persistent while working towards the long-term vision. Like the proverb states, “fall seven times, stand up eight”. I pride myself on constantly learning, being kind and working hard.
How did you get involved with the WPN?
Interact Marketing has been a long-time supporter of WPN and the advancement of employees interested in the organization. I attended IWD Celebration last year with a former colleague and I appreciated the mission and goals of this organization so much that I wanted to become involved more. I’ve also had the honor of presenting a workshop on Maximizing Social Media Strategies last year.
What do you like most about being a WPN member?
There are many aspects of WPN that I have enjoyed so far. I love that we celebrate each other’s success, support one another and inspire one another to achieve greatness. I’ve also had the opportunity and pleasure of working alongside motivated & inspiring women while serving on the International Women’s Day Celebration committee.
